Terms
The deal, in plain English.

Who you’re dealing with
Officehand is run by Richard Read, a sole trader based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland (0420 535 327, richard@officehand.com.au). I’m not registered for GST, so no GST is charged on my prices.
The free 15-minute look
Free, with no obligation. You share your own screen and drive. I don’t take an access key or keep any of your data.
The Quotes & Cash Check
- Price: A$495, fixed. No GST charged.
- Report within five business days of the signed agreement and access.
- Credited in full to your first build stage if you go ahead within 30 days.
- For the Check I use job numbers, dollar amounts, dates and statuses. Customer names appear only in your report, so you can recognise the jobs. Nothing from your account goes into an AI tool during the Check. I delete your job data within 7 days of the read-out.
The refund test
If the report doesn't show at least three separate items of A$500 or more each, or A$2,000 in total, sitting in open quotes older than 14 days, finished jobs not invoiced, or invoices more than 30 days overdue, you get your A$495 back. You can ask within 14 days of the read-out. If you tell me an item isn't real (already paid, a dead job), I take it out and test again. This is on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
“Money sitting” means amounts shown in your own records. It is not a promise that any of it will be paid to you.
Build stages
- Each stage has a fixed price and scope, agreed in writing before work starts.
- You pay for a stage once it’s live and working. If it takes me longer than planned, that’s my cost.
- You can stop after any stage.
The monthly service
- Starts only when an assistant is live. The fee is agreed in writing with your first stage.
- Month to month. Either of us can end it with 30 days’ notice. No automatic renewal of a fixed term.
- Prices change only with 30 days’ notice, and you can leave without penalty if you don’t accept a change.
- When it ends you get a full export of your data and a one-page hand-back note.
What I don’t do
- Send messages to your customers, or phone them.
- Hold, move or collect your money.
- Quote a price, a scope or a date on your behalf.
- Sign, lodge or pay anything.
- Lock you into a contract or a platform.
My fees are flat. They are never a share of any money you receive.
Your part
- You, or someone you choose, approve everything before it goes to a client, supplier or anyone else.
- You hold any consents needed to contact your own customers, and you send messages from your own accounts.
- Licensed and compliance decisions stay with your licensed people.
- Contract and variation wording is checked by Master Builders, the QBCC or your own lawyer before we rely on it. I am not a lawyer and nothing on this site is legal, financial or tax advice.
Data and ownership
You own your data, your business rules, your price lists and your phone number. I keep ownership of my own scripts and templates, and you get a licence to use them for as long as you use the service. I’ll only publish a case study about your business with your signed approval of the wording. See the privacy policy for how I handle information.
Liability
My liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited, to the extent the law allows, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again. For any other claim, total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and the same cap applies to you. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
